Decayed (Song of the Forsaken)

This is a song based on the Nine Inch Nails song “Every Day is Exactly the Same“. It is a song from the view of one of the forsaken and how they view the world. I purposely tried to create a parody that captured the essence of the Warcraft race without actually using any in-game terminology. Click more for Lyrics.

Decayed

I take a look at a faded picture
of someone you can barely see
Well I was one time that human
but all that
it was taken away from me

I know I used to have no choice
But now I’m free and on my own
just a corpse without a home
been dead so long, you can see my bones

oh, oh

[Chorus]
Watching myself decay more every day
Watching myself decay more every day
Praying that someday there’s an end to this pain
Watching myself decay more every day

I used to have eyes to look through
now I have holes where eyes have been
Sometimes the cold it gets to me
Sometimes, I wish for revenge
I can remember how this got started
But I can tell you, that sometimes, I wish it’d all end

[Chorus]

I look around at the normal people
Living their sweet normal lives
Though I long I finally realize
It’ll never be mine
Rage builds inside
And I want, them to suffer too
I wish this could have been any other way
But I just don’t know, I don’t know what else I can do

[Chorus]
Watching myself decay more every day
Watching myself decay more every day
Praying that someday there’s an end to this pain Watching myself decay more every day

[Chorus]
Watching myself decay more every day
Watching myself decay more every day
Praying that someday there’s an end to this pain
Watching myself decay more every day

  1. Possibly my favorite of your parodies… This song is really perfect for the Forsaken and the lyrics really express how they probably feel
